Hershey's ”Perfectly Chocolate” Chocolate Cake
2 cups sugar
1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup Hershey's Cocoa
1-1/2 tsp. baking powder
1-1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup boiling water
”Perfectly Chocolate” Chocolate Frosting (recipe follows)
1 Heat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans.
2 Combine dry ingredients in large bowl. Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla; beat on med. speed 2 min. Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin). Pour into pans.
3 Bake 30-35 min. or until wooden pick inserted in centre comes out clean. Cool 10 min.; remove from pans to wire racks. Cool completely. Frost with ”Perfectly Chocolate” Chocolate Frosting. 12 servings.

Hershey's ”Perfectly Chocolate” Chocolate Frosting
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
2/3 cup Hershey's Cocoa
3 cups powdered sugar
1/3 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Melt butter. Stir in cocoa. Alternately add powdered sugar and milk, beating to spreading consistency. Add small amount additional milk, if needed. Stir in vanilla. About 2 cups of frosting.

Favorite Hot Cocoa Top of Stove 6 Servings:
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup Hershey's Cocoa
Dash of salt
1/3 cup hot water
4 cups milk
3/4 tsp. vanilla extract
1 Mix sugar, cocoa, and salt in saucepan; stir in water.
2 Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture boils; boil and stir 2 minutes.
3 Stir in milk and heat. Do Not Boil.
4 Remove from heat, add vanilla.

3 Level Tablespoons of Cocoa + 1 Tablespoon Shortening or Oil = 1 Ounce Unsweetened Baking Chocolate
1 Level Tablespoon of Cocoa + 2 Teaspoons Shortening + 3 1/2 Teaspoons Sugar = 1 Ounce Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate

”Perfectly Chocolate” Hot Cocoa
Microwave Single Serving:
2 Tbsp. sugar
Dash salt
2 Tbsp. Hershey's Cocoa
1 cup milk
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
Mix sugar, cocoa and salt in large mug. Heat milk in microwave at High (100%) 1-1/2 minutes or until hot. Gradually add milk to cocoa mixture; stir well. Stir in vanilla.
