Mak Siti's Soto Soup Recipe
Preparation time : 10 minutes
Cooking time : 40 minutes
Serve for 8 - 10 persons
Ingredients:
5 Kg Chicken - to be shredded
1 pack 250gm Mak Siti Soto Soup Spices Powder
500gm Bean Sprouts
10 Eggs - hard boiled and cut into halves
10 Pieces Bean Curd - fried and sliced
250gm pack Ketupat - cut into cubes
10 Limes
20 Bombay Onions/Shallots - crushed and sliced
16 Garlics - crushed and sliced
10cm Ginger - crushed and sliced
10 Stalks of Celery - finely chopped
10 Stalks of Spring Onion - finely chopped
20 Spoons of Cooking Oil

Method:
1. Boil chicken in boiling water, when cooked remove chicken. Drain and leave to cool for shredding chicken meat.
2. Heat cooking oil and fry onions with ginger until golden brown.
3. Add 4 1/2 litres water or stock (after boiling chicken) and add Mak Siti Sup Soto Spices Powder.
4. Add in the shredded chicken meat, bean sprouts, fried bean curds and ketupat cubes, let simmer on medium heat for 10 minutes.
5. Add in salt to taste.
6. Garnish with celery leaves, spring onions, hard boiled eggs (halves), lime (halves) and crispy fried shallots. Ready to serve.
